The Heroes of Little Springs

Seeing the officer, Quiver grabbed the chair nearby and shoved it in front of the officer to keep him off track a bit. When he was busy dealing with the chair, she then punched him in the face.

Aiming the taser, the officer fired it, just as Quiver hit them with the chair. However it was more of a reflex and the wires spiraled towards the walls, before sparking brightly. Off balance and with a used up taser gun, he was immediately knocked to the ground by Quiver.

Of course she needed to get out to deal with the situation, but this did not make her matters better, especially when there was a camera on the walls, feeding to some distant location. However the door was still opened, as the officer was too busy attempting to deal with Quiver's unruly behavior. Now that he was out cold, there was no one around to shut the door quickly enough.

Outside of the hall there was little resistance, if any, and it stretched on for quite some distance in both directions. There were windows and doors, any which could be used to escape.

Quiver grabbed the taser from the officer before bolting for the door. She looked up and down the hall. Seeing how long it was, she tried a couple of doors to see if they were open and if any one of them happened to contain her weapons. Quiver went up and down the hall up until there were other officers around. She didn't stick around for too long though and made an escape out of a nearby window.

As Quiver escaped the police, thus breaking the law, even for good intentions, the knocked down officer from before called it in. "The female archer is loose, I repeat she has escaped! All personnel be on the look out for a female archer in costume!"

His voice echoed through many authority radios, as the police acknowledged the information. As Quiver escaped the complex, in the dead of the night, when there were many fires raging everywhere, where would she head? How could she possibly know where to go from here? Especially because time was not on her side.

Immediately a police car spun to the corner of the alley Quiver was rushing through. Throwing their bright headlights on, they turned on their flashing sirens, which echoed loudly. They were not as passive as before, as they drove quickly towards her. "This is your last warning, on the ground now." One of the officers voices echoed through a microphone like device built into the car.

Seeing the incoming car, Quiver looked around the area for anything useful. Seeing a bunch of trash cans, she grabbed the lid of one of the cans before pushing them towards the direction of the car. When the vehicle slowed down, she ran around it with the lid in her hand to hopefully deflect any weapons that might be fired at her.

With several piles of trash cans tumbling into their path, the car braked as in a force of habit. However they could had ran over and crushed them and Quiver had they wanted to, but she was already escaping to the side.

Quickly they both opened their doors and hopped outside, with pistols in hands. "Stop!" They exclaimed, before shooting several times. Most of their bullets missed completely, but a few dinged the metal, some even piercing through. But only one bullet knicked her in the side of her arm.

Out of bullets, as their guns began to click emptily, the officers frowned, growled, and stomped furiously, before hurrying towards their radio. "Suspect is in North Springs Road, I repeat Suspect is in North Springs Road!" They confirmed, before being acknowledged that several cars were in route to said destination.

The whirl of several police sirens could be heard echoing from afar, as their lights flashed on the streets in the horizon. They were ready to put this killer down now.

Elsewhere Jet spun his arms erratically creating another whirlwind. In doing so the wind blew the raging fire into a burning set of vehicles, which exploded upon impact. It created a mysterious display of fire power, which could be seen, heard, and felt from many streets nearby, one being North Springs Road.

Quiver grabbed her arm immediately after the bullet nicked her. She could feel her hand becoming wet with blood. Frantically, she looked around for where to go next, where to hide from the police force. Or where to hopefully find Jet.

Suddenly, she felt the ground shake followed by some sort of explosion. She turned and saw the odd display of fire. Without thinking, she ran towards it.

Nearby the large explosion, which was just a blocked off section of the street, with many vehicles in the way, Jet spun furiously, causing the fire to now be sucked into the vortex, as it spiraled towards another set of stacked cars. They immediately exploded upon contact as well, before they grinned and dusted their hands.

As these explosions were going off, there were several people, even fire fighters, who were frantically attempting to escape the streets. They screamed in terror, ducking in fear as another explosion shook them violently. They were trapped, wherever they went.

However Jet was not about to stop, as he began to violently spin, creating another whirlwind of fire, which he directed towards another set of flammable canisters and gas tanks.

When Quiver arrived, she couldn't help but to temporarily feel defeated once more. Of course it was the clone Jet.

Quiver really wished she had her arrows. Or even a bow. But she knew she didn't have time to fashion a new one, even a crappy new one. Quickly, she looked around for a fire hydrant. Or a hose. Whichever one was closest.

Seeing the hose some firefighters must have been using, Quiver ran towards it and aimed it directly at the clone Jet. However, she only managed to get a small spurge of water aimed at him before she was thrown back from the water's pressure.

As Quiver fired the hose, she tumbled backwards from the force and pressure. However her intended target was still sprayed with the water, as it rained down onto them. It did little else, except for causing them to turn and face her.

With a frown, they stared at her, as she laid on her back, with the hose in hand. Immediately they wasted no time in putting her down, as they super sped towards her. A full out frontal charge, at intense speeds, with only one thing in mind.

As the clone kept running towards Quiver head on, Quiver took out the taser gun she had stolen from before and aimed it at the clone. She hesitated for a split second before realizing she didn't have time to hesitate with Jet's speed. So she fired it at the clone.

Not ready for such an attack, or more like speeding too fast at the moment to dodge it correctly, they were running straight into Quiver's action. The taser gun charged, brightening up, before the wires shot forth, and attached onto Jet.

Immediately shocks blew everywhere, before Jet jolted and screamed in pain, stiffening his body, before he dropped to the ground. There he laid, a few twitches in between, as the sparks still were sent through his body, some visible as they emitted on his body's surface.

Once he was down, another Jet walked out into the blockaded street, who was behind several stacked cars. He clapped his hands slowly, staring and grinning satisfyingly at Quiver. "All according to plan." They replied, "He was right, we didn't even have to lift a finger."

Anyone with their wits about them still, would now know they were duped and this was in fact the duplicate Jet. "Tell me, what will you now do about this raging fire?" They asked, before directing Quiver's sight over to the fire, with a head signal.

To the left of the blockaded street was an erratic and raging fire. Several burning, charred, and exploded cars were stacked in its path. "You friend was trying to snuff the fire out with another one, but you foiled that plan. If it makes it across this street, the plants behind it will cause catastrophic events, far greater then what has now been seen."

Once he was done explaining himself, he shrugged. "Oh well, not my problem. You are." They said, before zooming towards Quiver and delivering a speed punch, knocking her through the air and into a pile of trash.

For a moment, Quiver let out a sigh of relief, glad that the entire ordeal was over. However, her heart jumped at the sound of clapping. She turned towards the source.

Quiver wasn't entirely sure what to feel as she looked at the person coming towards her. As Jet smirked at her, her head was spinning and she felt as though she might be sick.

"What did I do?" was all she could think to herself. Instinctively, she looked over towards the Jet she had hit, the real Jet. But she couldn't stand the sight of him lying like that so she quickly looked away again.

Hearing the clone, Quiver looked towards the fire as it raged on. She had to stop it, somehow. But in all honestly, she felt completely and utterly defeated. She then looked back at the clone, complete and utter hatred filling her eyes as she was already thinking how she might be able to stop the fire with the hose she still had.

However, as Quiver was thinking, the real clone came running towards her. Having no time to react, she felt herself slam into a pile of trash. Momentarily dazed, Quiver took two trash can lids, one for each arm before sprinting towards the hose. As she did so, she kept an eye on Jet while also looking for other sources of water.

Noticing where Quiver was heading, even though a fire hose would do little against this monstrous fire, the duplicate Jet sped towards it first. Being the good Samaritan, he brought it over to her, before raveling her in its snake like grip. With her tangled in its coils, the clone then jerked it forcefully, causing it to unravel at super-speed, and Quiver to involuntarily spin. She spun until she was out of the hoses grip, where she would have to regain her balance and coordination somehow, before the duplicate Jet won the fight.

As she saw the clone Jet try to go for the hose, Quiver tried to stop before he reached her. However, it was already too late as he wrapped the hose around her. Immediately, she felt herself spinning and she tried her best to keep herself from getting too dizzy. When she was free from the hose, she struggled to regain her balance and coordination. She stayed as still as possible, allowing her senses to be fully regained, all the while keeping an eye on the clone Jet in case he tried to attack her while she was vulnerable.

When her balance and coordination was regained (and with the trash can lids still in her hands) she moved towards the fires.

"If I can't put out the fires then maybe this clone will," Quiver thought. But she felt it was a long shot. These clones were obviously smart and might see through what she was trying to accomplish. If only she had her arrows...
