I know good to hear! So maybe I could give you some suggestions if you're stuck? What is your character like?

Name: Captain (Former) Blood

Age: I don't have a particular age but I suppose he'd be in his 30s

Visual Age: I suppose this is the same...but I would say he probably looks a bit older than he is.

Gender: Male

Bending: ? I tried to find this in your character sheet but then I couldn't find it.

Other Skills: This is my issue

Personality: Shrewd, and more often than not makes a fool of himself when extremely drunk. Did I mention he's drunk often? However, at times he has been known to show signs of compassion though in a very 'tough love' sort of way.

Appearance:
He has this kind of facial hair and body structure (minus tattoos and heavy eyeliner). also same hair color.

History/Background: Captain Blood was once a notorious pirate with many stories surrounding his name. He never stuck to one particular ship though his flag was always the same (this flag will probably mirror whatever skill he possessed). He was known as a talented (insert skill here). One night, there was a mutiny on board The Black Spot (his current ship at the time) and his treacherous crew members threw him overboard with his feet tied to a cannon ball. Presumed dead, The Black Spot sailed on with Captain Blood nothing but a legend.

However, very few are aware of the true nature of Captain Blood. For one, the reason why he changed so many ships was because he would destroy many of them in some way or form in his drunken state. Additionally, his skills were not very good and it was actually his first mate who acted as the captain and possessed the real skill. The mutiny in question was the final straw for his crew.

Because he has been presumed dead for years, no one knows where Captain Blood lurks or are even aware that he is alive most likely drinking his days away.



I've also got a bit of a backstory as to why he is a drunk, why his skills are not very good, etc. Though I figured I'd leave that as a sort of surprise.

You should use his alcohol as his skill somehow. Like only when he drinks it does his skill enhance. Have you ever seen TinTin? The captain gets totally drunk when he drinks 100% alcohol, and only then is when he goes on a kickass rampage.

Or like what happens to RockLee in his drunken state. So maybe he is usually sober, but along comes a time when he gets a tiny slither of beer and goes into this drunken state. Where he's all kinds of crazy, screaming, wailing, and putting up a good fight. Like a brute brawler.

But he's actually unaware of this skill because he's drunk off his ass when he gets it.

that could work though i don't really want to promote alcoholism :p

i kind of want his drinking issue to be something he has to overcome, not really something that will enhance his power.

Well why not have both then? That's how you could start it off. You did say you wanted your guy to have no clue or not believe in his skill people said he had. So if he's too drunk to remember the skill then he wouldn't believe in it :P

^ No I meant I literally wanted him to fail at his skill. He knows people think this is his skill but he's just a fraud.

Right I understand that, but you could also make this skill a double edged sword. Therefore his true brute powers only come out when he is drunk. So he would be incapacitated pretty much, and not very effective. Hence how he trashed ships.

When I say brute, I don't mean someone who barges into a whole brick wall like the Kool Aid man and screams Here's Johnny!

lol no no no i get what you mean. and yeah that would make sense. let me think about it.

Well I'm thinking about starting up the One Piece RP soon, so please come up with a guy. Otherwise I'll postpone our Avatar RP.

For the record I'm joking, but still we've had this thing up for several months...
