Korra: Episode 1 and 2

Alright, got around to watching it now, since I had to go to work at 5 so I couldn't stay up to watch it.

It's a lot better then I thought it would be and Korra is a lot better then I thought she would be. With what they originally showed, I thought she would be a total bitch, but I'm glad that didn't happen. It's also refreshing to see that she looked like a fool in a Pro-Bending Tournament that she never even participated in. It wouldn't make sense for her to be a natural.

Other then that I really like Bolin's character then again I always do like the happy-go-lucky ones. I feel that Mako will get the most attention/views only because he has the broody emo thing going on.

I also really like Meelo lol, he acts just like a little kid would. I really love how he imitated Korra, "Yeah daddy, you're a terrible teacher rawr!"

Also I went on Tumblr to see if any of the blogs we made for our event got more noticed and I saw several different images and gifs of more leaked Avatar stuff yet to be revealed. WTF? How are they even getting this stuff?

There's two trailers on Korranation.com along with the episode. they're from that.

Oh ok, I thought someone was getting more footage somewhere illegally. Hopefully they can keep the content sealed tight, unless they release the stuff now. It's their work, so they deserve it that way.

Honestly though, do you not have anything to say about the premiere?

I do but I'm freaking out about Doctor Who right now.

I will get back to you on Korra. Actually, I'll probably make an in-depth post if/when I re-watch it with my mom later today. If I don't, I'll make a post anyway but it would make more sense if I watch it again and go through everything like I do with the RP.

Sure, but it just sounds like you're so indifferent about the series premiere. I mean sure I wasn't fanning over the series premiere myself, but it was really good.

The animation of the snow falling in the beginning looked realistic. So much detail had to go into making it, especially the falling snow.

Like I said, then the Doctor Who information came. I can only be overly excited about one thing at a time or else I'll explode.

I'll take your word for it, but this is an Avatar forum not Doctor Who lol. I'm seriously thinking about taking my Avatar discussions to another forum like Avatar Spirit or something.

This and the other forum are really lacking. It's like no one cares. Yeah I get what you're saying, but with two different forums and no one replying to anything it's just sad.

Hey, I was ready to make a thread about an article that stated Korra would be the Katniss of television. But I was waiting to watch the premiere before I could make any sort of conclusions.

^ You don't understand, I have been gathering my thoughts as I watched the premiere for this thread. And I watched the Hunger Games with the same discussion in mind.

I'm totally ready for this. I just have to writer out all my thoughts first.

And, I will say this about the premiere until I get to my lengthy post: I totally knew Makorra was going to be canon. KNEW IT.

I think we all knew, Mako was just a broody emo boy, which the creators knew all the little girls would swoon over. So long as Bolin and all the others are not lost in their pairing, I won't mind.

I have a feeling that Mako and Korra will be focused on strictly soon and all the others will be lost in the background. I hate when shows do that.

^I disagree. I don't think everyone knew because it was stated multiple times there would be a love triangle.

So, first of all, that means Bolin will be in it a good deal for the love triangle to work.

I have a feeling it will have a setup like the Hunger Games where the romance isn't a vital component to the story. Not like Twilight.

I also don't think Mako is an emo. While he's got similarities, I don't think he fully fits the bill. I had examples but I've forgotten them...hence why I need to re-watch it :p.

It's probably a triangle, because it will be one sided with Bolin, if a triangle can work that way.

I hope we get to see more of Tenzin's kids to, they're just too funny not to have around.

Although, with Bolin, I think it would be interesting if they went a different route. For one, Bolin didn't seem too interested in Korra in that way. Not yet, anyway. I wonder if part of the reason he'll start to like her is because he can't have her. And, it would complicate things because she obviously likes Mako and he knows it.

I don't know, we really don't need a huge romance thing. Hopefully they just stick to really awesome friends or something.
