Spirit World Art
As the title suggests, it's fan art that I'm going to dish out of the adventures in the Spirit World. It will help me work with designs both for characters and backgrounds.
So far I only have one and I'll make more when I find the time. I'm not going to go nuts and overboard right from the start.
This one is right after Lee and Sui-Son travel through the Spirit World swamp/forest in search of the cavern where Sarugami rests.

Re: Spirit World Art
It took a while to create both the background and Lee and Sui-Son, especially so because the two are actually together. It's more difficult to work with characters when they're in contact with another in some way, rather then solo characters.
I also tried to flesh out Sui-Son so she appeared still like a child, but still feminine enough. As you can see there was a lot of erasing.

Does Lee or Sui-Son look anything like you expected them to?

Re: Spirit World Art
well Lee does because I've seen other pictures of him. Sui-Son doesn't really. I thought she looked more like a monkey than a person.

Re: Spirit World Art
It was explained in her introduction that she just had a hairy tail, and everything else was humanized about her.

Re: Spirit World Art
I also added the giant RhinoSnake in the background, with his wound included. And a bunch of other oddities.

Re: Spirit World Art
Here's one of the things I worked on today. The others are being stubborn in the scanner right now. Anyway got it colored and tweaked the characters a bit. Wanted the stuff to be able to be seen better and pop out. Hope you like it.

Re: Spirit World Art
Getting Sui-Son's face just right was really hard. So does her face look feminine? Like a young girls?

Re: Spirit World Art
Good to know, thanks. Sometimes I can't just make heads or tails out of my drawings when I've been involved in them for too long. Then I just keep second guessing myself.
